Physio National Tradies Month 2018
The Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) and Steel Blue created National Tradies’ Health Month in August to educate and engage tradespeople on the importance of full body health and safety.
At Evolve we are passionate about keeping our Byron Bay tradies pain-free, moving well and living to their full potential so to celebrate Australian Tradies Month we are hosting a Manual Handling And Lifting Workshop conducted by our expert Physio Scott Thomson.
Date: August 25th
When: Saturday at 9:30 AM – 10:30 PM
Where: Evolve Physio & Pilates – Unit 1B 11 Banksia Drive Byron Bay
Tradies rely on their musculoskeletal health to do their jobs; and ignoring aches, pains and body stress could result in disability and debilitation in the future. Every day 10 Australian tradies are injured at work. That’s 3560 tradies a year on workers compensation. Nearly a quarter of all roofers, labourers and plumbers experience back pain, muscle stress and strain from lifting equipment or slips, trips, and falls when handling materials.
Apprentices, friends and family all welcome to the free workshop, Scott will share important tips on lifting and carrying tools and heavier loads along with body self care and proactive tips to prevent injury.
Share this event to help spread the word and prevent future injuries!!
