New Reformer Class Schedule!

We are happy to announce our return to a full Reformer pilates Class Schedule in May! We never recovered our class schedule since the big C but feel now is the right time. We have been fortunate enough to have new Physios and Diploma trained Pilates Instructors join our team which has allowed us to add 22+ classes to the week! We will certainly introduce the new staff in the coming weeks and are very excited about their skill set and the level and range of service they will bring to the clinic.

With the growing popularity and number of Pilates studios popping up in the region, we want to highlight the difference between doing Pilates for fitness and doing Pilates for Injury recovery, rehab or to meet certain needs. For the latter it’s in your best interest to receive guidance from experienced Health Professionals. Like Yoga, Pilates is still a very unregulated industry and the level of training for someone calling themselves a Pilates Instructor can vary significantly. This is particularly an issue when someone is dealing with a certain pathology or needs to be regressed with their movement awareness to a point below what many studios would have as their ‘beginner’ level. Reformer Pilates still carries a risk of injury especially if performing an exercise beyond ones ability without adequate instruction or cuing. The larger the class size the more likely this can happen…

At Evolve our expert Physio’s screen and assess all clients going into the group class environment and ensure they are matched with the suitable class and level. We have small class sizes (maximum 6 people) catering for all levels and ages including Pregnancy (pre/post Natal) and Seniors. It is not all about Injury recovery and we still have our Evolve and Surf Classes for those seeking more challenge and to further improve their general core strength, dynamic stability, movement quality and injury resilience.

A big plus with Physio led Pilates is that all classes are claimable through HICAPS and Private Health Funds so for once you can use your health fund for something proactive rather than reactive! We are also Work Cover and CTP friendly for rehab. The new Schedule is bellow but subject to change. You can book online here or call to speak to our admin.

OUR SPECIALIST CLASS TYPES INCLUDE:
REHAB: Customised rehabilitation programs in small group setting.
REBUILD: Restorative and reprogramming of functional movement patterns
